International Olympic Committee (IOC) Diploma in Sports Nutrition

To continue its commitment to improving the knowledge and practice of sports nutrition, worldwide, the Medical Commission of the IOC now offers a postgraduate-level program in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. This program is aimed at sports nutrition professionals who work closely with athletes and coaches to enhance their nutrition.

The IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition focuses on the nutritional implications of participation in structured sports activities, but will also consider the role of physical activity, nutrition and other lifestyle factors in promoting good health. Experts in the study and practice of sports nutrition from around the world are involved in the provision of material to the course, and will be made available to students via “online chats” and residential workshops.

The Sports Nutrition Course will educate you in how to convert the science of sports nutrition into practical and meaningful interventions for athletes and coaches. Nationally and internationally recognised sports nutrition professionals incorporate the latest information on sports nutrition and share their personal insights into working with athletes.

Sport Dietitians Australia (SDA) Sports Nutrition Course

Criteria for completion
  • Completion of a Dietetics degree (Bachelor or Masters level)
  • Minimum of 12 months post-graduation (i.e. 1 year clinical experience or currently working in Sports Nutrition; paid or voluntary
  • Being mentored by an Accredited Sports Dietitian and/or
  • Your employer/mentor believes this course would be beneficial to you (confirmed by Letter(s) of Recommendation)
  • Successful completion of the sport nutrition course Pre-learning Task (details will be provided during the application process).

ANTHROPOMETRICA Diploma in Sports Nutrition (Diplomado en Nutrición Deportiva)

The diploma will allow you to know the important aspects of nutrition and feeding, as well as the effects on high performance sport, through the teachings of leading international professors in their field of study, in order to train professionals capable of responding to the problems of sports nutrition.

Institute of Performance Nutrition (IOPN) Diploma in Performance Nutrition

Criteria for completion

As a guide you would be expected to have the following credentials in order to be eligible to apply:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Strength and Conditioning, Sports/Exercise Science, Sports Physiology, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
  • Those with unrelated degrees or those who do not possess a degree, but do have an extensive portfolio of accredited professional credentials in health and/or fitness related fields (i.e. personal training or strength and conditioning certifications / accreditations i.e. CSCS, ASCC, ACSM HFI etc) are eligible to apply.
  • Those that have nutrition coaching certifications (i.e. NASM, PN, MNU etc), you may also be able to apply on a case-by-case basis.
