Research is important for informing evidence based practice and is also an area that many PINES members are interested in or working within.

Research you can help with

Sports nutrition professionals

I am conducting an online survey about social media usage among sports nutrition professionals, with particular interest in social media practices since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To be eligible to complete the survey, participants must meet the following inclusion criteria:
*Aged 18 years or older
*Must be a sports nutrition professional (Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, Licensed Nutritionist, or other similar title as deemed by your country of licensure)

If you meet the inclusion criteria above, please clink the link below to access the online survey. The first page contains the electronic consent form.

https://jmu.questionpro.com/t/ARWujZjVzC

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

There is no compensation for completing the survey. However, your participation will help us build recommendations for best practices regarding the use of social media nutrition education purposes, which will be shared among colleagues.

Below this message you will find a message directed to athletes. We would be incredibly grateful if you would forward this IRB-approved email text to any athletes or athlete-listservs to which you may have access. The message includes the link to a survey that will allow us to explore the athlete’s point of view on their social media usage, nutrition habits, and obtaining sports nutrition education through social media. This is not exclusive to collegiate-level athletes or athletes based in the United States; we are trying to collect global data to build more inclusive recommendations.

I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. I can be reached at stanfosm@dukes.jmu.edu.
