Why did you conduct this review?
Being in the fields of both time-restricted eating and exercise metabolism, we felt there needed to be some clarity provided with context of the health benefits of time-restricted eating. We wanted to offer a perspective of considering the benefits of participating in regular exercise in terms of a whole-body approach with a focus on some of the benefits that can only be achieved from exercise and not an alteration to the timing of eating, thus showing the value of exercise.
