Shelly Meltzer

Shelly Meltzer is a registered dietitian, author, teacher, researcher, and consultant dietitian with over 30 years of clinical, community and international sports nutrition experience. Shelly set up the dietary practice and nutrition services at the Sport Science Institute of South Africa in 1995 and has worked with development and elite athletes, teams and coaches across a variety of sports. Shelly has also managed the nutrition services for a number of world sports events. She serves/has served on several professional committees and Boards (including the SA Institute for Drug Free Sport, SA Rugby scientific and advisory committee), and local and international university faculties.
Sarah Chantler

Sarah is a Registered Dietitian from South Africa, having completed her graduate and masters degrees at the University of Cape Town. She is currently working in sport while completing her PhD at Leeds-Beckett university in the UK. Her PhD is focused on gut health and gut permeabiltiy in response to rugby, and she assists with teaching at the university as well. Balancing these different aspects is part of her ideal work-life balance as it keeps her on her toes. She loves to travel, spend time in the mountains or in the sea, and go running when possible.

Nidia Rodriguez-Sanchez is a Mexican Sports Dietitian. She completed the Diploma in Sports Nutrition taught by the International Olympic Committee. She is a Level 3 anthropometrist of the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK). In Mexico, she worked for the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) for several years as a Nutrition Advisor, and she worked as sports dietitian with the minor league teams at Club Cruz Azul, A.C. Currently, she is an academic at the University of Stirling (Scotland) where she lectures in nutrition and physiology, conducting research related to hydration, body composition, nutrition and metabolism. She has several publications in renowned international scientific journals.

Catalina Fernández is a sports dietitian and former national team volleyball player from Costa Rica, currently based on Mexico City. She started her early human nutrition formation in Costa Rica to then move to the United States to start her specialization in sports nutrition with a master’s degree at The Ohio State University. As one of the recipients of PINES scholarships for the IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition, she was given the job of developing the Sports Nutrition Department at the Costa Rica Olympic Committee, where she worked hand by hand with athletes, coaches and staff of various sports for more than 6 years, showing how impactful sports nutrition can be for and athlete’s development and performance, and being the first sports dietitian to ever assist the Costa Rica team at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.
Catalina has also been a lecturer for national and international sports nutrition classes and conferences. Now she is working as an independent consultant for elite athletes and developing her own sports nutrition educational projects.
As an athlete, she played for the Costa Rican volleyball national team for over 10 years, attending two World Championships in Japan 2006 and 2010.
Aurora León

Aurora León is known not only for her professional experience as a sports dietitian, but also for her personal experience as an athlete. Aurora started her career by graduating with a bachelors degree of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from Iberoamerican University in 1992. Aurora also has a Masters of Science in Sports Nutrition from Ulster University, and the IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition. Aurora is the Co-Founder, Vice President and Board Member of the Mexican Sports Federation since 2012, and is a board member of the Professionals In Nutrition for Exercise and Sports (PINES) since 2008. She has also dedicated many years as an academic on sports nutrition in the Iberoamerican University. Today, Aurora has a private practice, and she has been the sports dietitian of elite athletes for many years. From 1995-2002, she was the sports dietitian of the Mexican Triathlon Federation; She is now the head of sports nutrition in AsDeporte, as well as the sports dietitian of the AsDeporte Elite Triathlon Team. Since 2013, she is also de founder and developer of Fuel2Go Sports Nutrition Products Company. Additionally to her professional achievements, Aurora started her career being an elite triathlete (1992-1995), and since then she has ran more than twenty marathons; Aurora has a PR of 2:56:50 in Boston’s Marathon 2014. On 2016, she won second place in the ITW World Championship Sprint Distance in Cozumel, Mexico.
Renee Korczak

Dr. Renee Korczak Ph.D., RDN, CSSD, LD is an adjunct Professor at both the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Rutgers University. She is an advanced practice dietitian with experience that draws from different sectors including the food industry, academia and non-profit organizations. Dr. Korczak was formerly the lead sports dietitian for the Minnesota United Football Club and worked with the University of Minnesota athletic teams. She currently maintains a private practice based in New Jersey called Premier Nutrition. Her research interests focus on the effects of various carbohydrates on digestive health outcomes in healthy adults, endurance athletes and children. She has authored and co-authored several publications on the topics of dietary fiber, satiety, gastrointestinal tolerance, and whole grains. Dr. Korczak was recognized as the 2019 Young Dietitian of the Year by the Minnesota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a frequent media source.
Erick Mosquera

Erick Mosquera is a professional focused on the nutritional development of CrossFit athletes. Currently, his focus has led him to generate educational programs on Sports Nutrition for nutritionists, athletes and trainers. Erick has a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Cuenca (2019). He is also an ISAK level II certified member, and student of the Sports Nutrition Diploma of the International Olympic Committee.
Renata Altamirano García

Renata is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Health Coach, and Level 2 ISAK Anthropometrist. She is a contractor for Winter Sports at the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee and also has her private practice in Denver. She has previously worked with NCAA Division I athletes at the University of Utah. As a previous Coordinator of Scientific Diffusion for the Mexican Sports Nutrition Federation, Renata translated to Spanish sports nutrition research for Spanish speaking dietitians. She is passionate about integrative and hands-on learning experiences with food to educate about health and performance, and advocate for traditional, local, seasonal, and sustainable food.
Johanna Ledesma

Johanna Ledesma is a sports nutritionist and dietitian who has wide experience with Paralympic and Olympic athletes in Colombia. She has a specialization in sports administration, sports nutrition certificate in Spain, anthropometrist ISAK and IOC diploma in Sports Nutrition 2020. Johanna has worked with Colombian Olympic Committee and Sciences Sports Center in Coldeportes (national sports entity) through supporting interdisciplinary approach and nutritional assessment in young and elite athletes. She was nutritionist within Colombian medical team in Paralympic Games London 2012, South American Games in Bolivia 2018 and Central American and Caribbean Games in Colombia 2018. She played volleyball for 18 years with Bogotá and twice with Colombian Team.

I am the first batch graduate from IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition. I received the Ph.D. in Sport and Health Sciences from University of Exeter. I completed the Level 1 ISAK course and received the Professional Dietetic Award from the British Dietetic Association. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I published books and research papers in various areas of nutrition, including sports nutrition. I have experience in the nutrition consultation to apprentice jockeys; and teaching nutrition related courses, such as Sports Nutrition, Anthropometry, and Weight Management, in tertiary institutes in Hong Kong, U.K. and China.

Mr. Derrick Ong is the Principal Dietitian and Founder of Eat Right Nutrition Consultancy. He is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with the Dietitian Association of Australia, an Accredited Dietitian of Singapore with the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA) and Chairman of the Sports Nutrition Special Interest Group within SNDA. He is also a committee member of SNDA for the 2018-2019 term. In line with his passion for sports, Derrick sits on the Football Association of Singapore Medical Committee providing nutrition education for coaches & footballers. He is also the Honorary Secretary for the Sports Medicine Association of Singapore.

Karen Chia-Lun Lee is an Exercise Physiology and Fitness Training Program Director at the National Sun Yat-sen Unversity in Taiwan. Karen is a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and Yoga Instructor through the AFAA and also is a member of the ACSM, NSCA, and ECSS. She completed her Master of Science at the National Taiwan Normal University (2003-2005) and she received her Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the National Taiwan Sport University (2005-2008). Areas of research focus on the strength and conditioning, sports nutrition of youth and adult athletes, sports performance, the functional fitness of older adults, and supports the athlete-testing and training program.
Chai Wen Jin

Chai Wen Jin graduated with B.Sc. Nutrition (Hons) and obtained the IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition in 2018. She has been a sports nutritionist with National Sports Institute of Malaysia (ISN) since 2005 and being promoted as the Head of Sports Nutrition Centre in Jul 2018. Chai specialise in nutrition for racquet sports, especially badminton. She has served as sports nutritionist for Malaysia contingent in multi sports events, from regional, continental to Olympic Game. Since accredited as ISAK level 3 instructor anthropometrist in 2013, she has been periodically conducting ISAK level 1 and level 2 accreditation courses in Malaysia.

Kinita is the founder of MEALpyramid, a nutrition consultancy located in Mumbai, India. She specializes in sports nutrition, performance nutrition & weight management. She is an award-winning nutritionist and an author of the book The Athlete in You. She works with some of the leading sports teams, organizations & schools. She’s is also affiliated with the Mumbai Indians IPL, National Cricket Academy, Mumbai Marathon Groups, Triathletes, National level Swimmers, Squash players, etc. Moreover, she heads the Nutrition Department at the Exercise Science Academy by ACSM and was a member of the Commonwealth Games 2010. Kinita holds a graduate & post-graduate degree (MSc.) in Dietetics with research in Sports Nutrition. Her additional qualifications from The Oxford College (London), Sports Dietetics Association (Australia) and International Sports Science Association (USA).

Lily Chen

Lily Chen is a dietitian with a wealth of experiences in clinical care, teaching, management, and research. She has been recognised as a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics which signifies she has lived up to the Academy’s values of customer focus, integrity, innovation and social responsibility. Lily was nominated by her peers to serve as Nominating Committee Chair for the professional dietetic practice group Dietitians in Business and Communications. She currently serves as Strategic Communications Chair for the International Affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Besides English, she is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, and Spanish.
Hashan Amarathunga

Dr. Hashan Amarathunga MBBS, MSc, PGPN is a medical officer specializing in clinical nutrition. He holds a postgraduate MSc in Human Nutrition. Currently, he is following MD in Clinical Nutrition along with studying the IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition (2021 Class). He is a member of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) and Sri Lanka Medical Nutrition Association (SLMNA). He has experience in nutrition management of various areas along with sports nutrition. He is involved in multiple research projects in nutrition, including sports nutrition. Dr. Hashan is the recipient of Early Career Professional Development Grant by ASPEN in 2021 and he is the first Sri Lankan member of PINES.
