What is influencing athlete food choices?

Presented by Rachael Thurecht, APD, PhD Candidate – PINES Officer

Understanding why athletes choose what they eat is important for helping them achieve an intake that supports their health, training and performance. While athletes may be aware of appropriate sports nutrition practices, their food choices may be influenced more so by taste, emotions or friends, rather than nutrition knowledge.  For this presentation Rachael will be introducing a new questionnaire for understanding the factors affecting athlete food selections.
